I enjoy my visits to San Juan del Sur. I start by spending the afternoon at the beach with a cold drink, waiting for the sunset, next to El Timón (one of the best restaurants in the area). Around 7:00 PM you can have a great dinner at the same restaurant with live music, nice people and relax. At 10:00 PM, go to Henry's Iguana, where you can dance and enjoy the night. The party ends around 3:00 AM. You can walk back to your hotel, and don't worry; no one will try...

Shorts, shirt and sandals, and you're good to go. Remember that San Juan del Sur is the place to relax.

The nightlife in San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua is every day of the week. Entertainment could start at a local restaurant and end at the local disco with a great salsa or whatever is new in the music industry. You will always meet great local people as well as the backpacker who is just going through.

There is a lot of nightlife and entertainment in and and around San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua. Each day is full of activities. Let's start on Monday evening; we have trivia night at a local western-themed restaurant, Tuesday night is poker night at at the same place, Wednesday night is Blues night and then we jump to Friday where we have "name that tune" at another restaurant with one of the best hamburgers ever served in San Juan del Sur.

On Saturday morning there is the local farmer's market in the center of town. On Sunday, a lot of expats gather at a local swimming pool with their families for a relaxing day.
Now, let's talk about local culture. On Thursday, the a local Nicaraguan restaurant presents local dancers dancing traditional Nicaraguan dances. Then on top of the hill, the same thing, but different culture dancers perform.
Then there is always great surfing, paddle boards and sport fishing. We have so many good restaurants that it is difficult to expand on them. San Juan del Sur offers restaurants from German food, good old western style eating, traditional Nicaraguan food from many other fine eating places.
You will never find it boring living or visiting San Juan del Sur. For some excitement, there is horseback riding, zip lining and of course, visit to some of the surrounding area attractions such as cigar making, rum making and many museums in any easy hour ride. We also have a new craft beer restaurant getting ready to open in July. There are so many activities...come visit San Juan del Sur and find out for yourself.

San Juan del Sur is a small town, so people should not expect lots of nightlife and entertainment on a grand scale with movie theaters, concert halls, etc. We do, however, have bars and restaurants, and also a disco.

There are several bars that open late in San Juan Del Sur. You can choose where to go depending on what kind of mood you are in. There are places where it’s cozy and you can just lounge around, sip a cocktail and listen to jazz music. There are also bigger and louder bars where you can go if you would like to dance. You would see bars that have live bands as well.

For the younger crowd, there is what they call the “Sunday Funday” Pool Crawl which became quite famous throughout the local communities. What they do is charge you a US $40 cover but you are allowed to go to 3 different pool parties during the day. So it’s kind of wild and the people who love to come here to hang out are usually between 20 and 30 years old. The oldest persons that I know of who come and enjoy the Sunday Funday Pool Crawl are around 50 years old.

Nightlife and entertainment in San Juan Del Sur is a lot of fun. The whole town comes alive at night. There are different types of bars. Restaurants have specials; they have good meals and good deals. There are local and small bars right in front of the beach. Sometimes, there are some places that have live music, but not on a regular basis.
Overall, San Juan Del Sur has a beach bar life so the nightlife and entertainment here is awesome.

The nightlife and entertainment in San Juan Del Sur is excellent. There are a lot of cultural events in many of the restaurants around the beachfront. One night a week, usually every Tuesday, there is a Trivia Night in a very popular restaurant called Republika. There are also cultural nights and special occasions at the Pelican Eyes Resort nearly every night. Happy hour is available in most places here in San Juan Del Sur.

There is a free newspaper that publishes every week and it has all the listings of the very vibrant community here in San Juan Del Sur. The nightlife here is predominantly for young people. There are about three night clubs or places where you can go to dance, hear music or play pool, and they are very popular right until the early hours.
