Can I buy furniture in Granada, Nicaragua?

Everything but appliances and televisions are extremely inexpensive in Granada and all of Nicaragua. Just outside of Granada in Masapete, is where most of the beautiful furniture is made. Well worth the trip, you can go to the factories and have anything custom made and for very little money. Along the road you'll see dozens of small little craftsmen shops with very talented and friendly people to meet all your needs...Masaya is the places to buy and have custom made hammocks....

Yes you can buy furniture in Granada, Nicaragua. In fact, Granada is very famous for the mimbrea rocking chair, which is a classic rocking chair that is usually white in color. We have two or three famous shops where you can order custom-made rocking chairs, tables, beds, etc.

The best place to buy furniture is in Nicaragua, however, is in Catalina, in the Pueblos Blancos (White Towns) located north of Granada. It is about 28 minutes away from Granada and it is close to the Laguna Apoyo (Apoyo Lake). If you have a budget of US $3,000 to $5,000, you can buy the best and finest furniture for your entire house. You can get a bed, table, dining table, mirrors, etc. Catalina is the best place to go for custom-made furniture.
Catalina is also a popular place for buying plants. They have a nursery up there and you can buy very inexpensive plants. Plants there cost anywhere from US $1 to $5. It’s a really nice cool place where you can buy all the plants and the furniture that you need. I recommend for people to go there on the weekends because that is when the environment there is the nicest as everyone visits from Masaya, Managua, and other places to buy plants and furniture.
