They have two or more mountain bike challenges in Nicaragua. Bike riding does not seem to be a pastime for people here, though. A bicycle is a significant mode of transportation for the locals and the expats. People do not just go out biking for fun. They are biking to go get something or go somewhere.

A bicycle is a significant mode of transportation for the locals and the expats. People do not just go out biking for fun. They are biking to go get something or go somewhere.
There are no bike lanes here in San Juan del Sur but there is no need for them. It is pretty safe to go around on a bike here. In San Juan Del Sur, there are no major roads so, off the main road (which is not very big) you will only see little tiny streets. It is not like a big city where you need to watch traffic. There is minimal traffic, and it is slow moving traffic.

They get their mountain bikes and go to the little roads inside different towns. They go biking for hours, driving 30 to 50 kilometers (50 to 80 miles) everyday. This is a kind of biker’s group that is getting more popular. There are different kinds of biking activities here in Nicaragua.
