How do I transfer to my Nicaragua bank account?

Transferring money to Nicaragua is easy once you have a bank account set up. There are 3 major Nicaraguan banks: BanPro, BanCentro, and BAC. All three have U.S. Dollar accounts but you probably need to be a resident in order to open an account. Transfers after an account is open can be by wire, or if you have an account at BAC, their BAC Florida account can receive a transfer from a US bank and then credit on the funds to your account at BAC Nicaragua.

if you open a bank account in places like Granada or San Juan del Sur, you do not have to prove you are a Nicaraguan resident, but for some strange reason if a non resident tries to open a bank account elsewhere they will be told you have to be a resident, so if you are not a resident and want to open a bank account, drive to Granada or San Juan and done!
