Is there good bus service in Yucatan: Riviera Maya, Playa del Carmen, Cancun, Merida, etc.?

And then we have city buses, which I don’t go on. They drive fast, they pack in as many people as they possibly can and it’s just a bundle of confusion. They’re cheap. It will cost a couple of pesos to go on a city bus, perhaps around 15 to 20 cents.

Combi’s are really safe ways to travel and have designated stops where you can get off. For example, if you take a combi from Tulum to the north, it has a designated stop in Tulum, in Akumal, then in Porta Aventura, in Playa del Carmen, and finally in Cancun. It depends on which place you want to get off.
One of the advantages of the combi is it stays on the federal highway, and there’s not a lot of distance generally from the federal highway to where you need to go. It’s a narrow space.
