As far as I know, the only Audubon chapter outside of the United States is in San Miguel de Allende. It is called Audubon Mexico. We are in the desert and at al altitude of over 6,000 feet, so the birds that you would see here in San Miguel de Allende are completely different from the ones that you would see on the coast of in the jungle. Bird watching has become a really big thing in San Miguel de Allende. We have supported Audubon Mexico in the past, for fund raising events that they have put together and to educate people about the birds and about creating bird sanctuaries.
We have a lot of migratory birds that spend winter down here in San Miguel de Allende and migrate to the north during the summer.
