The nightlife in Puerto Vallarta never stops. We have literally dozens of five star restaurants, art galleries, bars, nightclubs, theater, and more. You can find every type of food and nightclub in town.
We have clubs for all interests, from Salsa to strippers. This diversity is part of what makes Puerto Vallarta so unique. For our LGBT crowd, there is an area of town referred to as the" romantic zone" where many bars, shows and...

There are a lot of extremely high-end, fancy restaurants that you can go to in Puerto Vallarta. The Malecon (which is the boardwalk) has all kinds of clubs, bars, and restaurants.
I am really big into watching Chicago sports. I can go down to one of the bars on Malecon where they are showing a game. They show different hockey, basketball, American football, and soccer games.

The clubs are really fun. If you go to the Malecon at night and walk around with all the people, there is always something going on and there are always people around, be it the Mexicans, the tourists, and the expats that are here. It is just really lively.
The Malecon is 100% safe. They have guards that walk the Malecon, probably 30 of them. These guards are visible every couple of feet. They ride the Segways where you lean forward on the wheels and it goes for you. There is absolutely not a single thing to worry about when you go around the Malecon because that is where most of the expats and tourists hang out.
Puerto Vallarta's main source of business and their main income is the tourist market, so that is what the local government prepares for. They do not want to create a bad reputation of expats or tourists getting robbed or killed because then tourism will drop off and they will start losing their income. The local government depends on tourism so they want to make sure that people feel safe so they will come back or recommend their friends to come. On the Malecon, I have been out until four or five in the morning and I have never felt any fear.

The nightlife and entertainment in Puerto Vallarta is interesting because there are two groups here in Puerto Vallarta: the group of expats who love to go out at night for fine dining, and the group of expats who like to go out and party.

The fine dining here in Puerto Vallarta is unbelievable. There’s Café des Artistes where the chef is Thierry Blouet, a world-renowned chef, and then there’s Si Sushi, which is located off of Punta De Mita, and is fantastic for seafood and for sushi. We also have Italian restaurants in Puerto Vallarta, and there’s Mezzogiorno in Bucerías, that is just to die for.
For a lot of expats here in Puerto Vallarta, the first kind of nightlife is where they go out and spend the evening going to these fantastic restaurants that usually have live entertainment at no extra cost, and the most amazing food.
Vallarta is the best location for partying. It has fantastic bars and discos, and comes alive after 10 o’clock at night. The malecon, which is the concrete walkway along the ocean, is absolutely jam-packed with people at this time of the night. At the malecon, you’ll find sightseeing and open-air bars where you see all the people inside dancing and having a good time as you walk by, while enjoying the beautiful evenings and the moonlight.
