How's the kayaking, rafting, and canoeing in and around Puerto Vallarta?

Puerto Vallarta is fabulous for water sports. We’ve got Los Arcos, which is a national underwater park where there are tour groups for snorkeling and other water sports. It’s absolutely beautiful. Snorkeling by Los Arcos is a real treat. It’s real experience to feel the underwater life and because of the water sports that we have—kayaking, paddle boarding, parasailing, jet skis—all is available here and it’s everywhere you go on the beach. Almost anywhere you go in the beach there’s going to be something fun that you can do with the family.
It is possible to go ocean kayaking at times but it depends on Mother Nature. Sometimes there will be a storm and the waves in the bar are big. It’s not often, but it does happen. Kayaking is not our number one sport because there are some other things to do.
There’s a mangrove area here in Puerto Vallarta near the marina, but it’s not really a sports recreation place. It’s full of alligators and people don’t usually go there.
We’ve got waterfalls and cascaded water that comes out of the mountains and rivers with ponds in them that are fun to swim in hiking in the mountains. It’s a lot of fun.

I wouldn’t say that kayaking, rafting and canoeing are a big thing in Puerto Vallarta. What I would say is that kiteboarding and stand up paddleboarding are huge here in Puerto Vallarta, and sailboats are also great. There are a lot of paddleboarding events on the Bay of Bandera. You will see people going out in the morning, and what’s absolutely fantastic here in Puerto Vallarta is that you’ll see these people going out and there are dolphins alongside them. ...

You can also go out with 8 or 10 friends, rent a sailboat for a day, and see the beautiful whales. The time of year when the whales are here is from October to March, and that’s the perfect whale-watching season. We do so much on this bay- everybody’s out there either looking at the bay, in the bay swimming, out there doing sports, or on a sailboat.
There are a few people who go kayaking on the bay in Puerto Vallarta. Kayaking is not a big thing in Puerto Vallarta anymore. Stand up paddleboarding and kitesurfing are huge. People go paddleboarding in the morning and in the evening at around 6 o’clock, because in the middle of the day is when the waves come up. We also have a lot of surfing and boogie boarding here in Puerto Vallarta, which are big as well.
