Can I see beautiful flowers, plants and trees in or around Puerto Vallarta?

Yes, you can see lots of beautiful flowers, plants and trees in Puerto Vallarta and the surrounding areas.
I am one of the board members of the Vallarta Botanical Garden Society, which gives me a particular insight to be able to say that there are a lot of flowers and tropical foliage here. I am one of the board members of the Vallarta Botanical Garden Society, which gives me a particular insight to be able to say that there are a lot of flowers and tropical foliage here. The mountains are full of palm trees and jungle and we’ve got incredible birds and wildlife. Mother Nature is all around us here in Puerto Vallarta every day here so there are a lot of beautiful things to see and there’s a lot of beautiful things to live amongst. Right outside my window I’ve got a giant flowering bush with big beautiful pink flowers on it and I get to look at that all day out of my office window.
When I lived in Los Angeles, I’d buy a plant at the grocery store or at the nursery and in no time it was dry and not doing very well, but here things grow out of a crack and in the sidewalk and they’re everywhere because of the fertile ground here and the humidity helps all of these wonderful tropical plants grow. All of the birds of paradise and bougainvillea and all of the tropical plants and flowers that you are used to seeing when you travel or think of as being in the jungle are available here.
There aren’t a lot of people who do gardening in town because the majority of people who come to Puerto Vallarta to live and retire purchase condominiums and most of the people who buy the bigger villas have the gardeners doing that kind of thing for them. If you would like to garden, however, it’s certainly available.

I have never seen so many different trees, plants, and flowers as I have here in Mexico, including Puerto Vallarta.
Puerto Vallarta is right on the coast and it's a tropical zone. In spite of this, there are palm trees, agaves, mango trees, manglars (mangroves), pine trees, and evergreens that grow out here. There are roses growing along with other flowers.
There's a botanical garden just south of Puerto Vallarta, which is a great place to go to...

People also grow plants at home. You could go almost anywhere in Puerto Vallarta to get plant cuttings to grow on your own. A gardener could also find and bring plants for you to start cultivating a beautiful garden.

The colors of plants and flowers range from mild pastels to very brilliant colors. Any color that you imagine grows in Puerto Vallarta. I've seen pinks, reds, yellows, and oranges. Bougainvilleas probably have 20 different colors, with 10 different shades of red. The flowers are beautiful.
In the States, they always have poinsettia plants during Christmas. Poinsettia grows naturally in Puerto Vallarta. When I first lived in Mexico, we had this green bush outside our house. I thought it was just a green bush until December rolled along. All of a sudden, the brilliant red leaves of a poinsettia plant started growing and then I knew what the bush was.
