What does it cost for a vacation rental in Puerto Vallarta?
Armando Contreras - Galvan Real Estate and Services
The cost for a vacation rental in Puerto Vallarta starts at US $330 a month up to $6,000 a month.
For $1,000 a month, you can rent a three-bedroom house, not on the beach, but it would be closer inland. For $1,500, you can get a two-bedroom condo unit on the beach with all the utilities included in the rental price.
The cost for a long term rental could be substantially less, especially in view of the recent strength of the US dollar against the Mexican peso.

I just purchased a new construction one-bedroom apartment that’s about 1,100 square feet that I rent out for $155 a night. I purchased and decorated the property, put the photos online on Air BnB and VRBO and within 2 weeks I had the first six months rented.
From an investor standpoint, the rental market is great. Units are easy to rent. That same unit rents for $200 a night for holidays and it’s been booked even since I purchased...

I have another condominium that’s a two-story penthouse with a private swimming pool, oceanfront, right on the water, that rents for $620 a night.
These are fully furnished, fully equipped condominiums or villas that have maid service, all of the utilities including electricity; everything is paid and you don’t have to worry about anything. Some of the units come with a cook or a chef. The one for $650 a night has daily maid service. She’ll do your laundry and clean your clothes, iron, take care of the house and she’ll do pretty much anything you need her to do. I wouldn’t let this particular maid cook for me, but those who cook certainly are available.
