In Cabo you can shop for almost anything. You have Costco, you have furniture stores, you have jewelry stores, you have a nice big, American-style mall. There is some nice supermarkets so you could get anything you need there. La Paz also is the same. La Paz doesn’t have Costco but they have big warehouse stores like Sam’s Club Wal-Mart, and Home Depot. La Paz has hardware stores, markets, and a couple malls too.
But if you leave those...
In Cabo you can shop for almost anything. You have Costco, you have furniture stores, you have jewelry stores, you have a nice big, American-style mall. There is some nice supermarkets so you could get anything you need there. La Paz also is the same. La Paz doesn’t have Costco but they have big warehouse stores like Sam’s Club Wal-Mart, and Home Depot. La Paz has hardware stores, markets, and a couple malls too.
But if you leave those big cities per se, you will find only local stores or mercaditos and tienditas. Tienditas are run usually by a family and you can get fresh vegetables, eggs, maybe some local products like cheese or tortillas. Not everything you need will be in those little stores.
When you live in a small village like El Sargento, if you are like my friends and me, you will definitely go to La Paz and when it’s convenient, to Cabo, where we like to visit the mall.
