How's the standard of living in Los Cabos - La Paz, Mexico?
Lana Nixon - La Ventana Bay Properties
Here where I live in La Ventana, La Ventana (about 40 minutes from La Paz and a little more than 2 hours from the Cabo San Lucas area), there is a high standard of living here compared to other parts of Mexico or other foreign countries. There is a low minimum wage and there are people here that do not make that much money, but in general, in La Paz, we have some fairly well to do Mexicans who have whatever they want and who are living a nice life here.

I come from Canada but it is tough to compare the standard of living in La Paz to the standard of living in places like Toronto or Vancouver because the cost of living in these places are so incredibly different. The cost of living here very low but the number of choices that you have is not the same, either. We have major stores here like Costco, Home Depot, and Walmart but those places do not necessarily have all the merchandise that you would normally find in their counterparts up in Canada or in the States but they have everything that you would need. If you want to have special items shipped here from the US, you can also do that, which some people do from time to time. Otherwise, when you are in a foreign country, you just have to get used to not having everything that you are used to always being available to you.
