Are there rivers, lakes and waterfalls in or around Los Cabos - La Paz, Mexico?

We have streams here that look like rivers during hurricane season but throughout the year, these streams are dry. There are some streams in San Jose del Cabo. They are small but they are amazing during hurricane season.

You will also see here the famous canyons. These canyons were formed not by the air but by the water running through it when there are hurricanes, even though hurricanes happen rarely here. In a normal sense, there are no rivers and no lakes here. There is just the ocean. One of the advantages over here is that on Cabo San Lucas, we have the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific Ocean coming together in one spot. This whole area of La Paz and Cabo is at the southern tip of a peninsula so you could be at the Sea of Cortez and just 50 kilometers away, you’ll be at the Pacific. We have a lot of water but they’re not rivers, streams, or waterfalls.
In the mountains, there are little streams. There are little waterfalls that are not more than 8 to 10 meters high. People like to go to these waterfalls to go camping. One of the famous that people like to go to is Agua Caliente and the other one is La Zorra in Santiago, which is south of Los Barriles and about 40 kilometers to the north of San Jose del Cabo.

There are a couple of waterfalls, water ponds and little creeks around Los Cabos and La Paz, but these waterfalls, water ponds and creeks are so minor that you wouldn’t find them unless you know where they are located. When the rains come, riverbeds may only run from four hours to 1-2 days, depending on how big the water source is.
The average annual rainfall in the Los Cabos area is around 4-6 inches.
