How’s the surf and surfing in Mexico?

The surfing is amazing in Mexico. There’s so much diversity in the coastline so you have all types of different breaks; beach reef, point break. Mexico is a surfer’s playground. You can surf pretty much the entire Pacific coastline of Mexico. There are a lot smaller waves on the Caribbean side. Some people longboard, it’s mostly wind swell. I haven’t been able to surf much at all on the Caribbean, but that’s why people like the Caribbean side, if they don’t surf, because you get that clear, calm, flat blue water, whereas the Pacific side is a lot rougher and bigger waves and so it’s harder to swim. The Caribbean is more like a bathtub. I think there are a few islands offshore with waves, but it’s really not as big as it is on the Pacific side.
