We’ve been to a small fishing village called Teacapan with a population of less than 200 people. To get to Teacapan, we took a boat ride and went into the mangrove. We did this on a small fishing boat and paid the locals 200 - 300 pesos ($10 - $15) for the boat ride. We then had lunch on the beach and headed home.
Another small village about 20 minutes from Mazatlán has a beautiful restaurant that we like to go to. Inside, this restaurant looks like a museum. It’s unique and serves excellent food.
There are so many small places and villages outside of Mazatlán that you can visit on day trips. There are a lot of beautiful places around this part of Mexico. Next month, my family and I want to go to San Blas, which is south of here on the coast on a day trip and come back to Mazatlán in the afternoon.
