Shipping to Mexico is a little more expensive than shipping to the States, but it is available. A lot of this happens here in Baja. There is a place in Baja where you can have a box to receive mail in Mexico. I am not sure if you can receive package shipments but you can definitely receive your mail in Mexico.

There are lots of interesting ideas and markets that have been in a way approached and answered because of the necessities of the people.
Mexico has regular address like in the US. Houses and buildings have street addresses, so the couriers can easily ship things to your address. We have FedEx, DHL, and other couriers here in Mexico so you could send whatever you want from the US and they will deliver it to whatever address you would like here in Mexico.
Merida (the largest city in the state of Yucatan) uses a numbering system that is similar to the US. We have odd and even numbers. So you could say that you live at 38th street, and tell the delivery people your house number. That makes it very easy for to locate your address because the city is laid out in a grid.

This is common to people who live close to the border.For places that are far from the border, they can use Mercado Libre, which is an online retailer in Mexico that is pretty much like Amazon in the US. You can buy from them online and they will ship the goods to you. I have used Mercado Libre when I was preparing for the baptism of my baby girl. I ordered custom-made key chains that I used as souvenirs. The transaction was pretty smooth. I received the package here in Tijuana, and I was very satisfied with their service.
