If you go to the movies here in Mexico, you will find the same movies as you would in the US. The only difference is if you are in a small town, most likely the movie will be in Spanish. If you are in a bigger city, the movie would have the English version or the English version with Spanish subtitles.

In Mexico, our second language is English, so you will hardly find movies in Mexico that are not in English. 90% of the movies that you will see in Mexico that are foreign will be in English with Spanish subtitles. You will be able to find movies that are translated in Spanish but the majority is shown in their native language with Spanish subtitles.

Hollywood movies are shown here around two months after they were shown in the US. The movies are shown in English but with Spanish subtitles. Some American movies are dubbed in Spanish, especially if it is a movie for kids because not all kids in Mexico speak English and some are not able to read in English yet. But generally, most Mexicans prefer watching the English version with subtitles.

The movies shown in the cinemas in Mexico are in English with Spanish subtitles or dubbed in Spanish. There are three different types of movies that you can watch in Mexican cinemas: English movies with Spanish subtitles, movies that are dubbed in Spanish, and movies that are made in Spanish, which aren’t that many. We have old theaters and new theaters in Mexico. If you don't like the stale smell of popcorn and spilled pop in the old theater, you can go to the newer one and the prices are about the same.
The normal prices to go to a movie in Mexico is $3.50 to $4 for one person.
