How much does it cost to get landline phone service in Mexico?

I have a landline phone here in Mazatlan, which costs me 638 pesos (US $38.60) a month. We pay strictly in pesos here. The price includes my Internet with the landline.
I have a very fast Internet speed. There aren’t a lot of choices when it comes to Internet, phone, and maybe cable services because quite a few of them are owned by one man.

Most providers offer packages and some of these packages include the Internet. What we have in my house is the package that includes unlimited phone calls to the US and Canada, unlimited phone calls within Mexico, 100 minutes of calls to cellphones within Mexico, and unlimited Internet. Our monthly bill is 385 pesos (about US $21).

In Mexico, you don't have to buy a traditional landline. You can purchase a Magic Jack for about $30/year. It's free to call anywhere and runs off your Internet.

There are different telephone companies in Mexico now: Telmex, Telecable, and AT&T.
The price varies. Right now they are having a promotion that with 600 pesos (US $33) you can get a telephone and Internet. If the line is new, there is going to be probably a small fee to get the line hooked up for the phone. But if it’s already an existing line in that house the price per month for phone alone can be from 300 pesos (US $16). There are different...

There are different packages for 300 pesos (US $16), 400 pesos (US $22), 500 pesos (US $27), the most expensive one I believe is 2,000 pesos (US $109).
If the person is not interesting in getting a landline and the provider is Telmex for the internet they only would be charged 330 pesos (US $18).
