Is there good bus service in Placencia, Belize?

There’s a reasonably good bus service for the locals in Placencia via a couple of buses that can transport you when necessary going back and forth on the road.

It’s safe to ride the bus in Placencia but you cannot expect it to run on time. If, for example, you need to get to a dinner event at a specific time, it’s best to give yourself a lot of extra time so you won’t be late. In Placencia, there is only one road in and out, which is paved and pretty good.
