Is there diving, SCUBA or snorkeling in and around Placencia, Belize?

In Placencia, you could go snorkeling directly from the beach or you can go to the reef or to a nearby island.
We have diving spots right in Placencia. I am a diver myself, so when I am bored we just go diving. We dive about 80 to 100 feet down. You can also do beach diving, where you just have to walk down the beach with your dive equipment.

You can go diving in Placencia, but you have to have a licensed divemaster with you when you go for a dive. They will not give the tanks to you if you are not a certified diver.
However, Placencia (and all of Belize) is famous for diving and snorkeling. We have incredibly clear, warm water and lots to see.
We also have the worlds second largest coral reef.
