How are the restaurants in Placencia, Belize?

There are nice restaurants here in Placencia, which cost US $5 per plate. They have 6 or 7 tables and a few chairs. I was in the US for three weeks and the way they prepare food there is very different. In the US, they take the food out of the refrigerator, which I am not used to. Here in Belize, you will be served with fresh eggs, fresh bread, etc. In the kitchen, you can actually see how they are cooking your food. Generally, you have 30 minutes to sit down to have a nice coffee and to have breakfast. If you are looking for something high-end, of course you will be paying more for better service. We do have places here in Placencia like the Maya Beach Bistro where you can get a reservation, you sit down, and the waiter comes to you and serves you water first. Then after that, he will give you the menu and you decide what you want to eat. After that, they give you a bottle of wine, you test the wine before you drink and all that fancy stuff before you actually sit down and have a nice meal. At Maya Bistro, you will be paying about $12 for lunch.
For fast food restaurants, we have like places like BJ’s where you can have a nice meal consisting of rice with beans, stew chicken and potato salad for about $4.
