Renting a house in Placencia is becoming very popular nowadays. The rent could cost anywhere from US $1,000 to $5,000, depending on the size of the house and your location – whether you are on the beach side or on the lagoon side. There are a lot of really nice houses on the lagoon side. The houses on the seaside cost more because they are on the seaside. You can get a two or three-bedroom house on the lagoon side for $1,000. Most of the houses for rent here are fully furnished and include cable, water, and internet, but you will probably be charged for separately for your electricity.

Every time we have a conflict, in the head of the owner is the question of if he wants to rent for the long term or does he want to rent for the season. We have came to a point that is has already become so hard to find a long-term rental. Even those deals that we have on every expensive units, you have no choice. It is either you pay a high amount in Placencia or do not come at all.
You can get something for $2,000 per month but it will be outside the village and up north. I know one that is very gorgeous. It is large with a pool and is on the beach. It is only a two-bedroom house and the price is $2,500.

You can rent a home in Placencia on an ongoing basis. This does not happen as much in our facility because we have few yearly rentals. The reason is, in our development, many times, the owner wants to use their home as well. Generally, our rentals last anywhere from weekly to several months.In Belize, you can rent on a yearly basis. The homes will be in different areas and of different quality. A lot of people rent in Belize before buying in order to get familiar with Belize. Rentals are generally between $750 to $1,500 USD per month, depending on the size. A broad average would be a home of about 2,000 square feet.
In the town of Placencia, you can rent a home for $500 to $1000 USD. In our development, we do not a have a lot of homes on the market. The problem is that everyone says whenever they build their homes that they will put it in the rental pool. Then they see how nice their homes come out, and pull it out of the rental pool. We’re very careful of who we rent to. We have three or four homes in our rental pool and the price depends on the season. The cost can be $2,500 USD a week up and as much as $8,000 to $10,000 USD for large homes.
In our project, we both have homes and condos. We have more condos in our rental property management. The condos can cost anywhere from $150 to $350 USD a night. The weekly rates are discounted. For the homes, it can be anywhere from a couple of thousand, depending whether it is on season or off season to several thousand USD per week. The homes that we have in our project have three to six bedrooms, which means you can have multiple people in the homes. The condos are generally for two people but If we have adjoining condos, they are discounted as well, for those who have their families with them. The price depends a lot on if you are in-season or off-season.
