Corozal has what is called “express buses” and there are local buses. The express bus will take you from one town to the next town without stopping on the streets, while the local buses will stop anywhere and anyone on the side road to pick them up.
Taking a bus here in Corozal is very inexpensive. I could take a bus from Corozal Town to Orange Walk, which is the next major town, for only Belize $2 or US $1. A bus ride from Corozal to Belize City, which is 80 miles away, costs about Belize $5 or US $2.50.
