How's the biking in and around Corozal?

I ride my bike and I walk 3 miles a day, which is not a problem here. In town, biking is a bit dangerous because the streets are very narrow so there is no room for biking. But if you go into the surrounding villages, there is plenty of room to ride a bike on the roads there.
Locals use bicycles as a mode of transportation. Kids ride their bikes to school every day and people ride their bikes to go to work so you would see a lot of people on bicycles in...

There is a bike race held here in Belize two times a year. People from other countries come to Belize to get involved in these races. They start the bike race in Corozal and end it in Belize City.
There is no mountain biking in Corozal because this area is flat and close to sea level. When you go further down in the south of Belize, in the Cayo District, which is about 45 miles from the northern part of Corozal, the terrain changes so there is a lot of mountain biking being done there.
