What's it like to live in Corozal? How’s the lifestyle?

I like Corozal District best of all because it is closest to Mexico so if you want anything you can just go up over to Mexico and be in a First World Country and drive yourself crazy if you want to.
But overall, Corozal is very quiet. It is seaside so it is very beautiful and the people who live here are very nice and helpful. There are plenty of things to do for expats here in Corozal. There are dart games, card games, a Rotary Club, Women’s Club,...

The lifestyle in Corozal is very laid back. If you're looking for a lot of excitement, you're not going to find it in Corozal.
As far as American-style or European-style amenities, there aren't a lot in Corozal. People tend to make their own fun. There are numerous leagues. People get together and play darts and poker. These are on set days of the week, at certain times, and everybody blocks that day out.
Everybody does some charitable or volunteer work around...

Everybody does some charitable or volunteer work around the community. Several gringos founded a sailing club for the young people in Corozal to teach them how to sail. They've supplied the boats and set up some local competitions.
If you like the outdoors, Corozal is a great place to be. You've got the water and fishing. Scuba diving is not really for Corozal and you need to go over to the reef to see anything interesting. Fortunately, the reef is just a short boat ride away.
If you really want more than the outdoors and water activities, just across the border is Chetumal, Mexico where they have movie theaters and an indoor air-conditioned mall. There are more amenities in Chetumal, Mexico if you really need them.
Corozal is a working-class town. You need the demand for some of the things that gringos are used to, which doesn’t exist sufficiently here for us to have it. Some restaurants in Corozal will have a movie night or some other activity where everybody will come, have dinner, and the restaurant will put a movie on the big screen that everyone enjoys.
