How's the golf in and around Ambergris Caye?

There is some golf in Belize on a private island called Caye Chapel (pictured), which is pretty special. It was a very high-end golf resort, but the resort part of it closed down. There is some golf in Belize on a private island called Caye Chapel (pictured), which is pretty special. It was a very high-end golf resort, but the resort part of it closed down. Now they just have it open as a golf course. It is an 18-hole golf course on a private island. The boat ride to get to the private island is around ten minutes.
There is another golf course in Belize called Roaring River Golf Course, out in Belmopan, which it the capital city of Belize, and is located on the mainland. The only downside to going to Roaring River is that is that from Ambergris Caye, you need to fly or drive a couple of hours to get to Belmopan in order to play, and it is very hot there.

Golfing is non-existent in Ambergris Caye right now. There used to be an island called Caye Chapel that had golf on it but it is now shut down. A group that is preparing for additional development on the island recently purchased it. So the rumors have it that it will continue to have a golf course and that it will be back open in about 3 years or so.As for now, there is a golf course on the mainland. It is just not up to the standard that I would like. If you want to play golf, you are still only a short flight away to Honduras or Roatan. You can also take a short flight to Yucatan in Mexico, where there is a lot of different golf courses. For right now, relative to golf, we are regrouping.
