Can I see beautiful flowers, plants and trees in or around Ambergris Caye?

Ambergris Caye is an island, so you will see coconut trees, hibiscus, bougainvilleas, and you may see some orchids in the gardens of different properties.

Not everyone has gardens in their homes, since Ambergris Caye is a really small island. Ambergris Caye is composed of the beach, the front street, the middle street, the back street and the lagoon – that’s it.

 

If you are a gardener, you will not be so happy in Ambergris Caye because there is just not a lot of room to make a garden and the island is very sandy.

I haven’t really gone looking for flowers, plants, and trees in Ambergris Caye but there are trees and beautiful landscaping at many homes. I even saw a greenhouse where people grow their own flowers. It’s absolutely beautiful.

I just love the palm trees here in Ambergris Caye, too. There are many coconut palm trees here.  My opinion is that coconuts are one of the best fruits out there. You can have a coconut all year round. You can drink coconut juice. When it’s ripe, you can have coconut milk, and then you can eat the jelly. You can also use the shell for utensils. It’s a great natural resource to have on the island.

 

There are guys on the island who you can ask to climb the tree and get the best coconut for you.
