If you are planning on renting a house in Belize, it is best to start your search online before you arrive. If you have a real estate agent in Belize with whom you are in touch, visit their website, as rentals are sometimes listed. VRBO, Flipkey and AirBnB vacation-rentals-by-owners’ sites are also a good source for renting a house in Belize. Also join online Belize rental forums and groups, as you will come across rentals by owners - you can then have a list of places to view...If you are planning on renting a house in Belize, it is best to start your search online before you arrive. Rental prices will vary depending on the area in Belize you intend on living. Beachfront places such as Placencia, Hopkins and the cayes will be relatively pricey compared to inland vacation homes in Cayo, for example. Ensure you do your due diligence before going ahead with a house rental in Belize.

If you are not in the country of Belize yet and for example you call me to ask what houses or apartments are available to rent, I would give you more information since you are out of the country and you are not here physically to see the places to rent.
If it is high season, there might not be a lot of rentals available in Belize, so during high season, I recommend that you book your rental in advance once you find something suitable for you because during high season, it is difficult to find places to rent. If it is low season, there are usually several rentals available, so if I get a call inquiring about rentals here in Belize, I give the client an option of whether to book their rental beforehand or see the place physically because I’m confident there will be places available.
