Are there volcanoes in Belize? Are any active?

There are no volcanoes in Belize. The closest volcano to Belize is in Guatemala, which is a long way from Belize.

No, we do not have any volcanoes in Belize. We do have a fault line that is close to the Western Highway or the George Price Highway in the Cayo District almost reaching to Belmopan (the capital), but it’s not active so we do not have to worry about any volcanic eruption or anything like submerged volcanoes. We just don’t have any. The highway used to be called the Western Highway but about 2 years ago, it was changed to the George Price Highway.

The closest volcano to Belize is in Guatemala and I think there is one in Mexico, too.

We do not have volcanoes in Belize.
The Maya Mountains in Belize are not growing mountains, so we do not have any active volcanoes in Belize. The closest active volcano to Belize is in Guatemala.

There are no active volcanoes in Belize, which is one of the many reasons why Belize is a great place to visit and a great place to live.
The closest active volcano is in Guatemala, but Belize is not affected by it.
