Carlos Roman Gutierrez Solis of Casa Granada Properties – Best Places In The World To Retire User Account
Notice for an open house for Casa Granada Properties, Granada, Nicaragua – Best Places In The World To Retire – International LivingThe government of Nicaragua is currently stable. It is not the same government that it used to be back in the 80s and 90s. Government officials have started to change their mentality. Nicaraguans feel the stability and have higher confidence in the government.

Now, the government allows everyone to do business in Nicaragua. Business processes are more controlled, organized, and clean. People have become more comfortable to do business in Nicaragua and a lot of investors are now coming to the country. Companies from Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, and Costa Rica are reviewing the possibilities of setting up businesses and investing in Nicaragua.

In my own company, there is now a mix between the kind of buyers I had back in 2008 to 2010 and the buyers I have today. We now have buyers who are Latinos, local Nicaraguans, Nicaraguans who have returned to the country, and locals partnering with expats. My business would not be able to do so well if the buyers were not comfortable with our government.

The market is now very different than it used to be and there is a bigger variety of buyers. There is high confidence within the business sector. The government now understands that they need to let the country move forward.

Current infrastructure development is unbelievable. New roads are being built everywhere. Places like the northern parts of Nicaragua used to be complicated to reach because of the lack of roads. Now, people can easily access Rio San Juan. Parks are also being improved and have more spaces to exercise.

The boom in Managua is unbelievable and there is new construction almost everywhere. This is an indication that buyers and investors feel comfortable with the Nicaraguan government.

The government is also not making the same noise like they used to. Nicaraguans would of course eventually want a new government, but the current government is doing a good job.

Nicaragua partner with Chinese to build a canal – Best Places In The World To Retire – International LivingWe have a Sandinista government. It is more stable because we have had this type of government for almost 8 years now. The private companies are safe and we don’t have problems like Venezuela has. I think the only problem we have is that people are getting more illegal lands here, but if you do proper research and process the proper paperwork on the land that you want to buy, you will not have any problem.

Nicaragua is a safe place. You can live here without encountering any problem with the government. The only thing you need to know is to do things correctly.

Like most countries in Central America, Nicaragua is a place where you need connections. If you have a big problem, it is always helpful to have business or other connections within the country that will help things go properly.

Nicaragua government stable President Ortega – Best Places In The World To Retire – International LivingThe government of Nicaragua is a socialist government in the sense that it is very concerned on achieving social equality in the country and sustainable economic and social development. Nicaragua has a lot of programs that are focused on reducing poverty and reducing income inequality and setting up a solid group foundation for the whole population.

The Nicaraguan government is very stable from the beginning. This is the second term of President Ortega (photo above) and he has won the elections with a clear majority. There are also several polls done annually, which show a very high level of approval of his government. So that gives you a sense of stability when people approve of what you are doing.

You can also see that the economy is growing, which is a good sign that the policies are in fact efficient. There has also been a dialogue between the public and the private sectors and just the existence of a dialogue shows you that it is a government that is interested in working alongside the private sector and other social sectors in trying to make good and effective policies and other initiatives. Consensus is always a good sign of stability. It means that everyone and everything is being taken into consideration.
