About Me
In 1998, Mike Cobb created ECI Development to purchase a resort on Ambergris Caye, Belize. In August of 2000, ECI purchased 2500 acres and 3.5 miles of Pacific Beachfront due west of Managua, Nicaragua. This master planned community now hosts world-class infrastructure, a golf course, homes, and condominiums. In 2006, ECI acquired 1100 acres and 3km of coastline in Costa Rica. In 2008, the Belize property was expanded to include tennis courts, fitness center and 6 acres for 200 condominiums. In 2012, ECI purchased a part of a Panama company adding over 700 acres and another mile of Pacific beachfront to their holdings.

The ECI model follows the Del Webb Sun City communities with a focus on serving consumers in multiple countries and geographies. Mike Cobb was a founder, and sits on the board of Caye International Bank and Karlsberg Insurance, both based in Belize. Since 2002, Mike, his wife Carol, and 2 daughters, Amanda and Emily make their home in Central America.
