About Me
I grew up with a Salvadorean nanny and learned Spanish from a young age.

My passion for Latin American culture led me to Mexico where I studied at the Univ. of Guadalajara and the Tec. de Monterrey. Over the course of my career in the US and Mexico, I have always been an interculturalist—someone who acts as a communication bridge between English and Spanish-speaking individuals.

I speak Spanish like a native Mexican. I am a professional translator / interpreter. I am also a Fulbright scholar to Honduras.

My dream was always to return to Mexico for retirement. After being downsized from a corporate job for the 4th time in 5 1/2 years, I decided to try my luck in Mexico.

I moved to San Miguel de Allende & formed Mexico Insurance Advisors. We specialize in health and travel insurance. We help customers understand the differences between the private & public health systems in Mexico through our seminars on "How to Be Prepared for a Medical Emergency in Mexico."
