About Me
Editor of The Visitor, a weekly newspaper focused on the tourism trade published in English and Spanish in Panama with a circulation of 13,000.

Born in the Panama Canal Zone, Charles is a true Zonian. After graduating high school, he went on to college in Los Angeles at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinema-Television (now School of Cinematic Arts).

In L.A., Charles began writing for URB Magazine where he helped to document the city’s vibrant music scene. He took courses with Manohla Dargis, now head film critic at the New York Times, who encouraged him to pursue a career in publishing. His articles have since appeared in The Austin Chronicle and he has written for several websites.

Charles is an avid traveler who loves to write about Panama, a place he considers to be a hotbed of arts and culture. He appears most Fridays on The Breakfast Show with Gerry D. on COOL FM 89.3 where he talks about special events taking place throughout the country.
