The Best Places in the World to Retire Store is Now Open
The designs from the Best Places e-book and study are now leaping off the page and onto your clothes and household items. Now you can have that "Best Places look."
The inaugural design was because I needed a picture to describe the customs of Belize and in particular Caye, Caulker in our question and answer section. Kendra Wilson of International Services Ltd. said the slogan of the island was "Go Slow."
I thought about the creatures there, clams and crabs and came up with this design in soft coral and beige. You'll find it available in white and seafoam for women, as seen in these pictures, or your choice of the available colors depending on the type, like this one in light blue for men
seen below. These t-shirts are customizable, so even add your name or name of your organization.
Do if you have taken to water taxi out to Caye Caulker and hung out on the dock or just wish you could. This t-shirt is your souvenir or pre-souvenir.
My store at
Zazzle is called JetsWorkshop, and I am building a sub-category called Best Places Voyage (under construction). There you'll find that I will be uploading new designs frequently, so check back often. Also feel free to message me,
email@example.com with your request, if you want something in particular you want me to design. I especially would like photographs of the exotic places we cover to turn into t-shirts.
So welcome, everyone to my Grand Opening. See you again!
There is a reason there are so few visible photographic reminders of our trip to Panama: I looked awful! My clothes were oddly colored, misshape, badly coordinated, and ill-suited for for my shape. And this happened, even when I tried to put together a smart travel wardrobe. I should have listened to Best Places Sarah Booth and Giselle Socarraz for my fashion advice when visiting the tropics.
Getting a Valentine in the form of a Fashion Set
and returning the favor by dressing as my designer-friend, Remy had envisioned us, and by interpreting her Polyvore sets with my own wardrobe. In the above picture, I am dressed as starlet Selena Gomez.
Also, read my interviews with Best Places contributors Rich Novak and Daryl Ries. You'll find out what's new in the burgeoning expat community of Coronado, Panama, and why having a having a Bi-Country relationship is a good idea.
DESIGNING A T-SHIRT FOR A DUGOUT CANOE RACE
The coconuts are starting to clack on The Coconut Wireless, my chat-posts, starting with an Instant Message interview with Renate Jope of Best Places, Panama. When we set up the talk, she mentioned that she was in a race. I learned in Panama, they use two distinct markers as the start and finish line. The inting as the designer had envisioned.erview is under her "Stories" and t-shirt imprints and the back-story of me and dugouts is in The Fabled Market, where you'll get the designs I made for her foray through the Panama Canal. Get it. Print it. Wear it. That is my gentle order to you.
Hope you enjoy the people I interview for On the Coconut Wireless. Write me if you want to clack coconuts with me.
What's in the Bag, Little Girl?
October was a month Audrey look-alikes, men's hair of the 70's, drunken polkas and the last of the trick or treaters. Wouldn't you like a treat bag like this?
In praise of German engineering and other things to celebrate.
How to Make Anthropologie Winter Decorations
Did you ever wonder how Anthropologie makes their beautiful winter displays? Well, I learned right in their fragrant store. On The Fabled Market I have two DIY YouTubes. This would make a great idea for a party; crafting holiday ornaments together and eating treats of the season.
Dressing Up for a Dress Store
Oct. 23, 2013
I won't have to guess any longer. I'll learn how to make those original and crafty seasonal decorations at Anthropologie. Now what shall I wear to look stylish and practical?
This photograph of me seen on the necklace tag above, was in part, inspired by an Anthropologie jewelry tag. The fur vest is inferred in my tale, "A Ring of White Roses."
A Trendy Test
You have to see how I tried on trends for five days from Polyvore's Trends list. These are items I already had in my wardrobe and how I styled them for my outfits of the day (OOTD
). As a woman of a certain age, I should have been more discerning, but I road this fashion juggernaut for all it was worth. Write me and tell me how you are keeping your wardrobe current or how you are loathe to change your tried and true looks.
